The Astro 95/05 Model
Refined and developed by Gary for over 10 years,
this is the most popular of the Astro longboards.
This board has a 3-stage rocker, medium nose-lift and
a medium to high tail lift - with a fairly flat rocker, mid to entry
into fins.
The deep ´V´, hip in tail and tail-lift give this board a sweet
spot right between your feet - making it nice and loose -
while the flatter rocker into fins helps it maintain speed.
Since it also possesses good nose-riding ability -
this board is the perfect performance all-rounder.
Great in small to medium waves; all conditions.

The Astro Big Boy
Closely akin to the 05 Model but with a fuller, more curvy
plan shape and no hip in the tail.
This voloptuous beauty is perfect for your bigger, heavier
surfer - or just the smaller guy who likes something to grab on to!
A great all-rounder-with a bit of extra width.
Well-suited to all types of waves and levels of surf experience.

The Astro 09 Comp Model
Refined by Gary over 15 years of longboard contest surfing.
High-performance board, designed to maintain speed while surfing tighter in the pocket - with full vertical capacity.
Based on the ´05`rocker, with an extra 1/2" lift in tail from sweet spot in front of fins. Slight double concaves from mid to sweet spot, help this board to maintain speed through turns, without causing the board to track.
For experienced surfers, looking for that 10% improvement!

As with his full-length mals, when it comes to 8-footers - there is no limit to the variety of styles Gary will shape.
Owing to their outstanding performance, however, the following two styles tend to take precedence over alternative shapes...
The Osprey: Low rocker, wider nose, narrower tail, long nose concave, slight rolled bottom.
Good for trimming, nose-riding - and still fairly manouevrable.
The Stingray: Very high performance, medium nose-lift, lots of lift in the tail, narrow nose with hip in the plan shape at fins, slight nose concave into modern "V", double concave through fins.
